Assessments

Desktop Ergonomics reduces health costs through workstation assessments, employee training, and product recommendation.

  • Workstation Assessments

Workstation assessments are essential for new hires, employees who work on a computer throughout most of the day, and employees who are experiencing symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders (repetitive stress, i.e: tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc). Workstation assessments are also available for home offices.

The assessment focuses on several aspects of an office environment, such as the chair, desk, keyboard, monitor, employee body movements, work habits, etc.

A professional workstation assessment will include:

    • Interview with employee.
    • Observation of essential job tasks.
    • Photo documentation.
    • Identification of risk factors.
    • Onsite workstation adjustments, including existing equipment and employee work processes.
    • Equipment recommendations.

A written report will be submitted within ten days of the assessment.

It typically costs $150 or less to retrofit a computer workstation to be ergonomically correct.

Sometimes, there is no cost at all.
